Specialist Family Support

Trust House Lancashire’s Family Support Project offers comprehensive support to families impacted by child sexual abuse.

We offer comprehensive support to families affected by child sexual abuse. Our specialist workers provide tailored assistance to each family member, helping them navigate the complexities of trauma and rebuild their lives. By creating a safe and supportive environment, we facilitate open communication and empower families to heal and grow together.

Our services include individual support for the child or young person, as well as guidance and support for parents and carers. We work collaboratively with families to address the wider impact of abuse, including school, family, and community relationships.

In addition to one-to-one support, we facilitate group forums for young people who have experienced sexual abuse. These forums offer a safe space for peer support, creative expression, and open discussion. By providing opportunities for social interaction and shared experiences, we aim to reduce isolation and foster resilience among young people.

Our aim is to create a positive and supportive family environment where everyone feels heard and believed. We empower families to identify their needs, build resilience, and move forward together.
