CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Our CPD courses are aimed at learners who bring with them a wealth of life and work-related experience and who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of sexual abuse.

Our courses are delivered and facilitated by Rebecca Pearson MBACP and Liz Pascoe MBACP.  We will use a variety of ways to help you learn – e.g. small group and paired work, videos, and presentations.

These modular courses are suitable for counsellors, student counsellors, family therapists, psychotherapists, and all professionals working with adults who have experienced sexual abuse in childhood.

Our courses take place in Preston, or can be arranged in other venues as appropriate. This means that if you have a sufficient number of delegates courses can be held at your place of work or study. Trust House Lancashire is a specialist centre for providing support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse.

Courses available

PRE-TRIAL THERAPY & NOTE TAKING 6 HOURS £45.00*

This course will enable you to conform to the protocols associated with dealing with clients who are approaching trials in connection with their trauma and includes record keeping and criminal justice processes.

WORKING THERAPEUTICALLY WITH SURVIVORS OF RAPE AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE 6 HOURS £45.00*

This course will give you the tools and understanding to deal with survivors of rape and sexual violence.

WORKING THERAPEUTICALLY WITH ADULT SURVIVORS OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE 6 HOURS £45.00*

A course that reflects on the complexities of working with non recent abuse and some of the stereotyping that has arisen.
