We are lucky to have a group of people who support and fund-raise Trust House Lancashire.
Friends of Trust House began when Zoe, a volunteer since the Charity began in 2014, asked if she could help with raising funds for Trust House Lancashire. From the involvement she had with Trust House Lancashire, over the past years, she was aware of the need for this specialised service in the local community and for the funding necessary for it to continue.
The Friends group aim is to raise money to help support Trust House Lancashire. This can be done with local events but also in applying to trusts for grants. There is also an opportunity for raising awareness of Trust House Lancashire and the services it provides. The Friends group has so far run 2 stalls at local gala days raising £260 and also had input into the Charity Ball which raised a brilliant £10,000.
Zoe started initially with some of her friends and other interested people have now joined the group. They even have their own logo incorporating the Trust House logo and based on the ‘elephant in the room’, sexual abuse being something that is generally not talked about. They will always welcome anyone who would like to help, any ideas for raising funds, networking and any links to other interesting individuals and organisations.
