Responding effectively to disclosures of sexual violence

Managing Disclosures is comprised of 2 parts. The program teaches the skills needed to support a survivor disclosing an act of sexual abuse or violence against them and guiding them to obtaining help from relevant specialists.

- PTSD and the effects of sexual violence on survivors

- 4 step model of support.
- Looking after yourselves.
This course is taught over three hours and is an engaging, interactive learning experience using group work and audio-visuals
No previous experience or training is necessary. Participants will be asked to self-reflect. There is no expectation on participants to share personal experiences.
