On July 18th, we are holding a forum for parents to discuss their experiences through the court system.
We have invited a number of parents who have been through the criminal justice system and now able to comment freely.
We aim to keep the focus on the impact their experiences had on their children and their family. We are also looking to collect what they feel key messages for services, including our own, need to hear.
Our intention is then to find a way to share these with our partners, police, CPS etc.
This is to be an evening session on the 18th July between 18:30 – 20:30. We aim to make an informal and positive experience. Parents unable to attend will be offered a telephone consultation slot if they wish to feed into this consultation.
We decided to hold this parent forum as during our last young person’s forum a number of parents who dropped off their children indicated that they also would like to have had an opportunity to give their thoughts and opinions on the services they have received and have a discussion with others.
