Support

We offer Counselling and Therapy

Trust House Lancashire provides free specialist counselling to men, women and children aged 4+ who are resident in the Lancashire area and have been affected any form of sexual violation at any time of their lives.

Our counsellors are qualified and experienced person-centred counsellors, psychotherapists or play therapists.

Some of our counsellors may be in the final stages of qualification and completing their final placement hours.  All are BACP registered.  For younger children, counselling is age and developmentally appropriate.  All of our counsellors undergo a comprehensive training programme delivered in-house prior to commencement of work with us.

We offer Independent Support whilst going through the Legal Process

Trust House Lancashire also has 2 Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) who work with children, young people and adults from age 4 years.  ISVAs are specialists in providing practical and emotional support for adults, children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual exploitation at any time and are involved with a criminal justice process. Support is also offered to parents and carers.

We help run a National Support Line 0808 801 0818

It is operated during the week between the hours of 10am and 8pm.  Out of hours there is an answering service.  If you’d like a call back please leave your details and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

All our  helpline volunteers complete our comprehensive 12 week training program.
